Q: Can I download the photos from Facebook or Smugmug?
A: No, absolutely no photos are to be downloaded from Facebook or Smugmug unless you receive permission from Torn Photography. ANY cropping or removal of watermarks will be dealt with criminal charges including fines and jail time.
Scheduling, websites, & general FAQ
Q: How do I schedule an appointment to get photos taken?
A: You can call 330.314.8205 or email Hello@tornphotography.com to schedule. All appointments must be booked 2 weeks in advance and all deposits must be paid at the time of scheduling. Deposits are to secure your date and the deposit is deducted from your session fee.
Q: We were wondering when we can view our finished photos?
A: Photos will be available 2 weeks after they are taken unless otherwise stated. Weddings will take up to 3-4 weeks before being posted.
Q: I went to my photo website but my photos are not there, where did they go?
A: Photos are available for 6 months on your website, after that they are taken down. They can be re-posted at your request.
Q: I live outside of Trumbull and Mahoning county, can you drive to me to take the photos?
A: Yes, driving costs are based on mileage outside of Trumbull and Mahoning county.
Orders, prints, & shipping
Q: Why am I being charged sales tax?
A: As of August 1st, 2013 I am required by the state of Ohio and Mahoning county to charge a 7% sales tax on all sessions and products.
Q: How long will it take to get my order?
A: Standard order placement takes about 2 weeks from the time the check clears till the time you receive it.
Q: What are your shipping rates?
A: Shipping rates are as follows:
$10 standard shipping (10-14 days)
$35 speedy shipping (4-7 days)
This does not include weekends.
Q: Do I still have to pay for shipping if I am going to pick up my order?
A: Yes, because all photo orders are placed through an outside company which charges shipping.
Q: I waited too long to place my photo order and I need it now or as soon as possible. Can you rush it?
A: Torn photography is not financially responsible for rush shipping your order. You can opt to have it rush shipped for 4-7 day processing for a $35 shipping fee for most products. This does not include specialty products such as postcards, canvas prints, CD cases, books, ect. Photo prints only.
Q: I am sending you a check tomorrow, can you place my order now?
A: No, absolutely no orders are placed without the payment for the photos clearing first.
Q: You received my check today, does that mean my order will get placed today?
A: No, checks take at least 2 - 3 days to clear through the bank, excluding weekends, after that your order will be placed. You can opt to pay with cash in which case the order will be placed the same day.
Q: I realized that I wrote the wrong photo number down after my order was placed and received, would you replace it?
A: Torn Photography is not responsible for the replacement of photos if the wrong photo number has been given. If the order hasn't been placed yet through the supplier the photo number can be changed.
Q: Do I receive anything with my session?
A: Sessions do not include any prints or a CD unless otherwise stated.
Q: I need a copyright release for one photo for cake/invites, could you send it to me?
A: Photos are available for purchase with a copyright release. One photo is $20, a CD with all your photos is $150.
Q: I would like a refund/a replacement for my specialty product, can you please send it to me?
A: Not all specialty products can be returned. Specialty products that qualify for a return must be returned before a refund/replacement is initiated. Torn Photography is not responsible for return shipping. Refunds & replacements can only be made up to 5 days after receiving the product.
